This is a quality bowl gouge, holds an edge really well and is a pleasure to use after regrinding to an Irish/Elsworth profile (my personal taste).

It feels nice and solid in the hand, the thickness of the shaft dampens most vibrations and gives me good control whether I'm far over the tool post hollowing a bowl or doing light cuts to shape the outside.
